Mastic, NY - September 10, 2014 - A Deer Park woman arrested in July for driving while ability impaired by drugs after seriously injuring a motorcyclist in North Lindenhurst faces new charges in an indictment unsealed in Suffolk County court today, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
 
Jacklynn Barkey, 27, is charged with vehicular assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, aggravated unlicensed driving, driving while under the influence of drugs and circumvention of an interlock device. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.
 
Barkey struck John Pesce on his Yamaha motorcycle around 3:00 am the morning of July 3. Pesce, 60, of Mastic, suffered a serious leg injury.
