The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Rockville Center man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred in Hempstead.
According to detectives, while out conducting an investigation for an unrelated incident, Third Precinct detectives saw a group of people standing behind a vehicle on Stewart Avenue. As the detectives approached they observed defendant Latrell Ofurhie, 19, of Rockville Centre, attempting to hide a black handgun and was placed under arrest.
Defendant Latrell Ofurhie is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He was arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
