Cops: Employee Busted for Selling Cannabis and THC-Infused Gummies from Valley Stream Smoke Shop

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a North Valley Stream man during a Narcotics Investigation that occurred on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2:47 pm in Valley Stream.
 
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, officers conducted an investigation at Late Vibes Smoke Shop located at 89 Ocean Avenue, where gummies containing Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabis were being sold.  Defendant Jeremiah Samlal of 1140 Jasper Street S, was placed under arrest without incident. 
 
During the investigation, detectives recovered additional packages of a greenish brown leafy substance believed to be cannabis, US currency and packages of a substance believed to contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
 
Defendant Samlal is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Unlawful Sale of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.  He will be arraigned on Friday, April 26, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
