Queens Man Drives 100mph Drunk on Long Island Expressway:

At 5 a.m. Sunday morning, Queens resident Royce Quigua, 38, of Woodside, allegedly drove 100 miles an hour drunk on the Long Island Expressway in his 2002 Kia. He proceeded to drive despite an officer's attempts to pull him over near Exit 40 in Jericho.

When a Highway Patrol officer spotted Quigua, he cut the officer off by changing lanes in to the HOV lane. Once off the LIE he ran several red lights, changed lanes without signaling, and still refused to pull over. The rampage came to an end with the help of other Highway Patrolmen after Quigua got back on the expressway near Exit 36 in Manhasset.

Quigua was arrested and charged with First-Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Reckless Driving, Third-Degree Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, Driving While Intoxicated, and other violations of Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Two Men Rob Franklin Square CVS:

The robber holding the handgun flashed it demanding cash and the employees’ cell phone while the other forced the female employee to empty out the register. Once the robbery was complete, the two men ran out of the store heading west.

One robber was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and the mask that covered his face. The other wore a hooded dark sweatshirt too, dark sweatpants with a white stripe along the leg, and a mask also.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls are anonymous.
