The Public Information Office reports the details of a Vehicular Accident involving a Pedestrian that occurred on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:20 am in Wantagh.
According to Police, a 12-year-old male juvenile was traveling on a scooter eastbound on Sunrise highway crossing Old Mill Road when he was struck by a 2014 Honda CRV being operated by a 30- year-old female making a left turn from Sunrise Highway. The female driver remained on scene. The male juvenile was transported via Police Helicopter to Cohens Children’s Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. There were no further injuries
reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
