The owners posted a note on social media announcing that they are retiring, saying “all good things must come to an end.”

It was a bittersweet announcement, according to a post on the Facebook page of the Grecian Grill, a favorite Greek spot in Farmingdale. They announced that they have closed.

The announcement came at the end of June.

“We are so incredibly grateful for the support the Farmingdale community has given us over the past 20+ years,” the post went on to say. “…please know we appreciate you and wish you all the best.”

Grecian Grill has had constantly positive reviews on Google and Yelp over the years with diners praising them for the modern Mediterranean dishes.

The restaurant at 261 Main Street in Farmingdale served up a number of Greek favorites like gyros, souvlaki and mousaka.

The number for the restaurant was unreachable.

The note said that there were already new owners for 261 Main Street but there was no hint at what was coming next, whether it would be a continuation of the Greek restaurant or something brand new.
