Wantagh, NY - December 15th, 2014 - The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Hicksville man for Burglary that occurred in Wantagh on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:15 am.
According to detectives, a male dispatcher working at Island Yellow Taxi called Seventh Precinct Police after he observed the defendant Craig Blum 43, of West John Street kick and break the front door of the Burn Smoke Shop located at 3248 Railroad Avenue. Craig Blum then entered and removed boxes of candy and a glass water pipe.
The defendant was then observed walking away south on Grove Street. Seventh Precinct Police soon later located Blum on Grove Street and placed him into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported. The proceeds were recovered.
Craig Blum is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Possession of Burglar Tools. He will be arraigned on Monday, December 15, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
