NCPD: Two Men Busted with Illegal Firearm, Crack Cocaine During Uniondale Traffic Stop

The First Squad reports the arrest of (2) individuals for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 9:30 p.m. in Uniondale.
  
According to Detectives, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) officers observed a 2017 Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on Nassau Road near the intersection Stanton Boulevard, commit a vehicle and traffic law infraction. A Vehicle and Traffic Law stop was conducted in the vicinity of Teresa Place, Hempstead.
 
After a thorough investigation a loaded Taurus 9mm firearm and a substance believed to be crack cocaine were recovered from inside the vehicle. The subjects were placed under arrest without incident.
 
Defendant Lee Hughes, 51, of 33 E 4th Street, Huntington Station is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations. 
 
Defendant Richard Foreman, 38, of 919 Wadesboro Street, North Carolina is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. 
 
Both defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
