Hicksville, NY – May 10th, 2013 – Hicksville Pride Day is May 18, 2013.  Numerous events will be held throughout the day, starting with a community cleanup effort. The Town of Oyster Bay will be partnering with the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce in the Town of Oyster Bay and other local organizations including a fundraising event in Kennedy Memorial Park for the rebuilding of the Hicksville Memorial Fountain. The cleanup efforts will take place between 9 a.m. and noon, rain or shine. Volunteers may receive certificates for community service hours and are asked to assemble at Kennedy Park, which is located at the junction of Hicksville Road and Jerusalem Avenue.

After the Clean Up, join The Artists Group, Long Island Fringe Festival, Kiwanis Foundation of Hicksville and the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce for the first of many events to help fund the rebuilding of the fountain.
