Coastal Flood Statement issued December 13 at 5:33PM EST until December 14 at 2:00PM EST by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Southwestern Suffolk, Southeastern Suffolk and Northeastern Suffolk Counties. * WHEN...During the times of high tide Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking surf of 9 to 13 ft along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront will cause significant beach flooding and erosion during the times of high tide Saturday into Saturday Night. Scattered areas of dune erosion and localized washovers are possible during the times of high tide Saturday morning into afternoon.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with burglaries in Hauppauge.

Hauppauge, NY - September 25th, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with burglaries in Hauppauge.

Several commercial burglaries have occurred in the Hauppauge Industrial Park and detectives investigating the burglaries are looking to speak with a person of interest who has been seen riding a bike in the industrial park. The man has also entered various businesses within the industrial parkon numerous occasions and when approached, the man states he is looking for a job.The man is described as black, approximately 6 feet tall and 40 years old.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
