The remaining threats are for gusty winds tonight and dangerous surf conditions into Saturday. POTENTIAL IMPACTS ----------------- * OTHER COASTAL HAZARDS: Life-threatening rip currents are expected for all people entering the surf zone. Beach flooding and localized dune erosion along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront are possible during the times of high tide tonight through Saturday. Localized minor flooding, inundation of 1 ft or less, along vulnerable coastal and shoreline locales of the Great South Bay of Long Island and Jamaica Bay, Lower NY/NJ Harbor, Coastal CT, Coastal Westchester, and Gardiners Bay during times of high tide tonight. * WIND: Potential impacts from the main wind event are now unfolding across. Remain well sheltered from hazardous wind having limited impacts. If realized, these impacts include: - Unsecured lightweight objects blown about. - A few large tree limbs broken off. A few trees shallow rooted trees uprooted. Some roadway signs blown over. - A few roads impassable from debris, particularly within urban or heavily wooded places. Hazardous driving conditions on bridges and other elevated roadways. - Scattered power and communications outages. Crime Report: Five Teens Arrested for Robbery; Man Arrested for Weapons Possesion after ShotSpotter Notification

Five teens robbed a man outside of an ATM; Police used a ShotSpotter notification to arrest a man in illegal possession of a gun.

Five Teens Arrested for Robbery
Suffolk County Police arrested five teens after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a man outside of an ATM early Thursday morning.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was leaving the Chase Bank on Station Road in Bellport after making a withdrawal when he was assaulted by the five teens. They stole his wallet and fled the scene.

After responding to the incident, police found and arrested two of the suspects. 18-year-old Dequan Holly of Bellport and 18-year-old James Hollman of East Patchogue were arrested on Thursday.

After investigating the incident, police found out that 18-year-old Anthony Lafranca of Bellport, 18-year-old Talshawne Gamble of East Patchogue, and 16-year-old Patrick Hartnet of Bellport were involved in the robbery as well.

All five suspects are being charged with 2nd Degree Robbery and were arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip.

Man Arrested for Weapons Possesion after ShotSpotter Notification
Suffolk County Police made an arrest on Saturday following a ShotSpotter notification that a gunshot had been fired near Hoffman Avenue in Bellport at 4:42 a.m.

Officers Christopher Quitoni and Michael Robertson were dispatched to the area. The officers found the suspect, Kevin Crenshaw, along with another individual walking towards Crenshaw’s house, which is located on Hoffman Avenue.

Crenshaw was in possession of a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. Police arrested 33-year-old Crenshaw, who is currently on parole.

Crenshaw is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree. He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
