Pedestrian Killed in Brentwood Motor Vehicle Crash, Authorities Report

SCPD are investigating a vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian.

Brentwood, NY - April 30, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood on April 28. 
 
Wilfredo Moran was crossing Fifth Avenue from east to west when he was struck by a 2002 Chevrolet Venture traveling northbound in the left lane on Fifth Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m. 
 
Moran, 39, of Bay Shore, was transported by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Chevrolet, Baldomero Gonzalez, 52, of Brentwood, was not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact the Third Squad Detectives at 631- 854-8352.
