The United States Air Force Thunderbirds have arrived on Long Island for the 2025 FourLeaf Airshow at Jones Beach State Park on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23rd, and Sunday, May 24th.
On Thursday, May 22nd, the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron known as, The Thunderbirds, will conduct a flyover and photo mission over the Hudson River and past the Statue of Liberty. This is scheduled to take place from approximately 9:40-11:00 AM. The Thunderbirds jet demonstration team will conduct two passes, the first pass starts along the mouth of the Hudson River Northbound up to the George Washinton Bridge. The second pass will begin at George Washington Bridge flying Southbound to the Mouth of the Hudson River. The flight is weather dependent and subject to change.
The Thunderbirds perform for people all around the world to display the pride, precision and professionalism the U.S. Air Force represents. Through air shows and flyovers, they aim to excite and inspire. In addition to showcasing the elite skills all pilots must possess, the Thunderbirds demonstrate the incredible capabilities of the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
