Update - March 16, 2016 -  Johnathan Faneytt, 21, of 100 Jedwood Street, Valley Stream is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Kidnapping 2nd degree, Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd degree, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, 3 counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and unrelated warrant charges.

Jesus V. Maldonado, 22 of 429 Birch Street, West Hempstead is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Kidnapping 2nd degree, 2 counts of Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th degree.
 
Jorge Freire-Romero, 19 of 105 N. Montgomery Street, Valley Stream is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Kidnapping 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.

Valley Stream, NY - March 14, 2016 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of three men for Attempted Murder that occurred on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 8:20 PM in Valley Stream.
 
According to Special Investigation Squad detectives, a male victim, 27, while attempting to recover property for a female acquaintance did enter the residence of 100 Jedwood Place.  While inside, the victim was confronted by occupants of the residence and was kicked, punched and struck in the head with a black handgun. The victim was handcuffed, placed in a bathtub and stabbed repeatedly with a steak knife. The victim was removed from the tub, placed in a vehicle and driven to Midvale Lane, Valley Stream where he was removed from the vehicle. The subjects fled the scene and the victim walked to a local hospital and is being treated for his injuries.
 
Subsequent investigation by detectives led to the arrest of the defendants, who will be arraigned on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead. The names of the defendants and their charges will be announced this morning at 11:30 A.M. during the media briefing.
