SPCA: Sound Beach Couple Charged with Keeping Multiple Animals Living in Deplorable Conditions

Crystal Porter, 30 and Daniel Barker, 43, are charged with animal cruelty.
Suffolk SPCA announced that (L to R) Crystal Porter, 30, and Daniel Barker, 43, both of Sound Beach, were arrested for animal cruelty.

Sound Beach, NY - January 18, 2019 - On Wednesday, January 16th, 2019, Crystal Porter, 30 and Daniel Barker, 43, were charged with animal cruelty. Suffolk County SPCA Detectives discovered 4 dogs, 19 cats and 1 snake living in deplorable conditions.
All of the animals were removed from their Sound Beach home and transported to Brookhaven Animal Shelter where they will be evaluated by a veterinarian. The home was deemed uninhabitable and condemned by the Town.
