Nassau County's Museum of Art has been ranked one of the nation's largest and most important suburban art museums. It is located only 25 miles east of New York City on a dazzling piece of property, formerly the Frick Estate, in Roslyn Harbor.

The main building has been named in honor of art collectors and philanthropists Arnold and Joan Saltzman and is a three-story Gregorian mansion, typical of Long Island's Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century.

Also on the property is the Art Space for Children, the Sculpture Park, a garden and walking trails for visitors to explore the estate and take in the views, and art school that offers a variety of classes for both adults and children.
