Cedar Beach is a public beach on the South Shore of Long Island, a part of Jones Beach. Cedar Beach is a ¾ miles stretch of ocean beach where surfing, body boarding and fishing are popular attractions. Cedar Beach Marina offers 63 boat slips and allows boaters to stay overnight. 43 campsites are also available for trailers – tents not allowed.
 
The Beach Hut at Cedar Beach holds the popular Lobster Fest on Thursday nights while live bands provide entertainment for beach goers every night of the week. A playground is available for children along with a large volleyball area which is used by a league on Monday nights. Shuttle services are available to the water and lifeguards are on duty on weekends, May through September.
