The First Squad reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for an incident that occurred Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:30am in Baldwin.
According to Detectives, officers responded to Wings Over Baldwin, located at 1759 Grand Avenue for a male subject who approached a male juvenile, 14, and displayed what appeared to be a knife demanding money. The juvenile victim complied, ran from scene and notified police. Upon police arrival, Defendant Elwin Wilfred, 52, was located and placed into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Wilfred is being charged with Robbery 3 rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
