Update: Man Arrested for Robbing Valley Stream Nail Salon

The Fourth Squad made an arrest for a robbery that occurred on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 6:50 p.m. in Valley Stream.

Update - May 14, 2014 - The Robbery Squad reports the arrest of Salvatore Scimeca, 55, of 255 Islip Boulevard for the above crime. Scimeca is being charged with 5 counts of Robbery 1st degree. He was arraigned on May 9, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
Original Release - Valley Stream, NY - December 24th, 2013 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 6:50 p.m. in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, a male white subject entered Tiffany’s Nail & Spa Palace, located at 120 Rockaway Avenue wearing a blue bandana covering his face. The subject displayed a gun and demanded the money from the register. The female victim, 42 years of age, complied and gave the subject an unknown amount of cash. The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction. He is further described as 45-50 years of age, 5’3” tall, thin build, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, and gray sweat pants. There were no injuries reported.
