The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Pennsylvania man for a Petit Larceny that occurred on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 2:06 PM in Elmont.
According to Police, officers responded to the Target at 1730 Hempstead Turnpike for a shoplifting incident that had just occurred. An investigation was conducted and the Defendant Jose Asto Jacome, 27, of 1412 Derry Street, Harrisburg was located nearby and placed under arrest without incident.
Further investigation revealed that the defendant had an outstanding Warrant of Removal pending with US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Defendant Jose Asto Jacome is charged with Petit Larceny. He was issued an Appearance Ticket and taken into custody by Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE).
