Garden City, NY - November 20th, 2013 - The Third Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Garden City on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 7:45 P.M.
 
According to detectives, a 23 year old female victim was walking on Somerset Avenue in the vicinity of Weyford Terrace when she was approached from behind by an unknown male black subject. The victim was pushed to the ground and her pocketbook containing a cell phone, IPAD and unknown amount of U.S. currency was forcibly removed. The subject further described as 5’09” tall, thin build, wearing burgundy colored sweatpants, black sweatshirt and black ski hat then fled on foot eastbound on Somerset Avenue to northbound Meadbrook Avenue. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries to her head and knees.
