Cops: Man Busted After Allegedly Setting Fire to New Cassel Apartment Complex

NCPD reports the arrest of Dimitrov Henry of Uniondale, 30, for Arson.

New Cassel, NY - December 10, 2018 - The Arson Bomb Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Arson that occurred on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:30 A.M. in New Cassel.
 
According to Arson/Bomb Squad detectives, 3rd Precinct Officers responded to a house fire on Prospect Avenue. The officers arrived and observed a working fire on the side of an apartment complex. The officers evacuated a total of 20 occupants from 3 apartments within the complex. The officers then extinguished the fire. There were no injuries reported.
 
An investigation was conducted. It was determined that Dimitrov Henry, 30, of Uniondale was responsible for starting the fire on Prospect Avenue. The defendant had already been taken into custody prior to the conclusion of the Arson investigation for harassing a 21 year old female.
 
Defendant Henry is charged with Arson 2nd degree and Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
