Hewlett, NY - October 20, 2017 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano joined Acting Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, Nassau Police officials and local residents, for the official grand opening ceremony of the NCPD’s new Fourth Precinct building, on Tuesday, October 17th, at 1699 Broadway in Hewlett.

“Nassau residents enjoy one of the lowest crime rates in the nation. This is no accident. That is why we are dedicating this state-of-the-art building to the brave men and women of the Nassau County Police Department, past, present and future,” said County Executive Mangano. “Thank you to everyone to helped make this important project a reality.”

Construction on the new NCPD Fourth Precinct began in February of 2016. The precinct is a 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that houses fourth precinct and fourth detective squad operations. The new precinct includes a dedicated line-up room, multiple private interview areas, a community room and more.
