The Public Information Office reports the details on a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 3:50 p.m. in Massapequa.
According to detectives, a female pedestrian, 58, was walking to her car that was parked eastbound on Merrick Road in the vicinity of Unqua Road when she was struck by a female driver, 78, operating a 2022 white Nissan Rogue.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where she is in stable condition.
The driver was also transported to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
