The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hauppauge woman for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Friday, February 4, 2022 in Jericho at 8:10 pm.
 
According to detectives, the Nassau County Police Robbery Squad Unit conducted an investigation with the assistance of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office that led to the arrest of defendant Cricel A. Santamaria, 24, of 716 Devonshire Road on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. 
 
Defendant Santamaria, while employed at the Webster Bank, located at 1 Jericho Plaza, fraudulently accessed check images without any legitimate business purpose. They were subsequently posted for sale on the social media platform Telegram, resulting in a loss of approximately $108,000.00. 
 
Defendant Cricel A. Santamaria is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Nassau County Court House located at 262 Old Country Road.
