Sweetgreen, the fast-casual salad chain, is planning to open at the Walt Whitman Mall, according to a Town of Huntington planning board meeting. At the September 28th meeting, the planning committee discussed outside seating at the yet-to-open Sweetgreen restaurant.

The store plans to have 14 stalls on the south end of the mall, across from the Cheesecake Factory.

Sweetgreen has more than 160 locations serving up freshly prepared salads from their signature menu items or make-your-own.

Bowls include their Elote Bowl, with roasted corn and peppers, heirloom tomatoes, shredded cabbage, cilantro, goat cheese, spicy sunflower seeds, tortilla chips, warm quinoa, arugula, and lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette, and their popular Harvest Bowl with roasted chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, roasted almonds, warm wild rice, shredded kale, and balsamic vinaigrette.

The chain is proliferating at a fast pace. Reports say that Sweetgreen has plans to double its locations in three years and have 1,000 by 2030.

No other information is available about when Sweetgreen will open.
