Albany, NY - September 28, 2016 - The New York State Public Employees Federation, announced its endorsement of Senator Michael Venditto for re-election to the New York State Senate in the 8th Senatorial District. The Public Employees Federation represents over 54,000 professionals working for New York State.

In making the organization’s announcement, PEF President Wayne Spence touted Senator Venditto’s fight to maintain good jobs that benefit the local community. "We know that you appreciate and value the work performed by public employees in your district and around the state. You also understand the needs of working men and women and their families and support the programs and services that address these needs,” said President Spence

The endorsement follows the previous endorsement of the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) Local 1000.

As a homeowner, taxpayer, and new parent, Michael Venditto understands, firsthand, the issues most important to us, especially when it comes to taxes. He has never voted to increase taxes on his constituents.

Senator Venditto has also been working on important legislation and funding for our communities.  In fact, in just two years, Senator Venditto helped deliver the largest middle class tax cut in 20 years, equal pay for women, and record State aid for our Long Island schools. He also voted for the historic paid family leave law.

“I am proud to accept the endorsement of PEF," Venditto said. “It’s the hard working men and women of such organizations as the PEF, who work to help better the quality of life for all citizens of this state and help make our communities among the best in the nation,” said Senator Venditto.
