The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:12 pm in West Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, an investigation was conducted at the Woodfield Quick Shop located at 604 Woodfield Road where it was determined that cannabis and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) were being sold. Defendants Ahmed Aljomai, 25, of 73 Broadway, Mastic and Rebeca Judith Alizaga Ramirez, 47, of 46 Villa Court, Hempstead were placed under arrest without incident.
 
During the investigation, Detectives additionally recovered (46) forty-six THC products, (22) twenty-two assorted cannabis products and US currency.
 
Defendant Ahmed Aljomai is charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5 th Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5 th Degree and Unlawful Sale of Cannabis. He will be arraigned on Friday, May 23, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
Defendant Rebeca Judith Alizaga Ramirez is charged with Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5 th Degree, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5 th Degree. She was released on an Appearance Ticket. Further investigation revealed the defendant is illegally in the United States and is subject to removal proceedings. US Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) took custody of the defendant.
