Suffolk County Police have arrested five teens for assaulting and robbing a man at a Bellport ATM.

Bellport, NY - August 10th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police have arrested five teens for assaulting and robbing a man at a Bellport ATM.

A 22-year-old Bellport man was exiting the Chase Bank, located at 32 Station Road, at approximately 2:45 a.m. on August 8 after making a withdrawal from the bank’s ATM when he was approached by five males who assaulted him and stole his wallet. 

Fifth Precinct Police Officers James Lennon and David Henderson responded and located two of the suspects, Dequan Holly, 18, of 176 Bellport Ave., Bellport, and James Hollman, 18, of 931 Taylor Ave., East Patchogue, a short time later.

Further investigation by Fifth Squad detectives determined Anthony Lafranca, 18, of 45 Doane Ave., Bellport, Talshawne Gamble, 18, of 253 Hampton Ave., East Patchogue, and Patrick Hartnet, 16, of 57 Association Road, Bellport, were also involved in the incident.

All subjects were charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip.

criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
