Authorities Report Amityville Woman Arrested for Driving with 43 License Suspensions

North Amityville, NY - August 7, 2018 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a woman on Monday, August 6, for driving with 43 license suspensions after she was stopped for traffic violations in North Amityville.
 
First Precinct Patrol officers initiated a traffic stop after they observed a 2007 Toyota with an expired inspection sticker traveling eastbound on West Prospect Street. Officers discovered the driver, Amber White, did not possess a driver’s license and her New York State identification card had been suspended 43 times due to numerous traffic violations. White also had six active outstanding traffic warrants.
 
Officers arrested White, 24, of Amityville, and charged her with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, an E Felony. She was also issued her a summons driving without a license and cleared the outstanding warrants.
 
White will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 7.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
