Overnight Lane Closures on Northern Boulevard in Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County

The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that beginning on Monday, July 24, one lane in either direction of Northern Boulevard (State Route 25A) is subject to closure between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., from the New York City line to Old Northern Boulevard in the villages of Russell Gardens, Lake Success, Flower Hill, Munsey Park, and Roslyn Estates, and areas of the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County, for approximately six weeks, weather permitting, to facilitate a pavement renewal project.

Electronic message signs have been posted in the area to relay additional travel information to motorists. 

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones.  Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
