Wantagh Landlord Assaults Tenant with Bungee Cord and Fists, Authorities Report

The Public Information Office reports the Arrest of a Wantagh woman for Assault that occurred in Wantagh.
 
According to detectives, officers received a radio assignment for an assault that just occurred on Hunt Rd. Upon arrival, they discovered a 30 year old female victim had been attacked by her landlord. The defendant, Natalie Lapolosa, 43, had grabbed the victim from behind, wrapping a bungee cord around her neck and punching her repeatedly in the head and face, causing substantial pain and bleeding. The defendant then fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
 
A short time later, officers responded to a call for a landlord/tenant disturbance at the same location. The victim informed officers that the defendant had returned and was threatening her. The defendant refused to exit the residence. Bureau of Special Operations officers and the 2nd Squad responded. The defendant eventually exited the location and was placed under arrest without incident.
 
Natalie Lapelosa is charged with Assault 3rd degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation. She was arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead.
