Wantagh, NY - October 16th, 2013 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a serious auto accident which occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 2:10 P.M. in Wantagh.

According to detectives, a male, 88, while riding his bicycle on Briard Street at the intersection of Carrollton Avenue was struck by a car driven by a 62 year old male.  The aided was thrown from the bicycle causing him to suffer a serious head injury.  He was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.  A brake test was conducted at scene.  No criminality is suspected at this time.
