Long Island, NY - June 22, 2018 - Tomorrow, Saturday June 23rd, 2018, Congressman Tom Suozzi will travel with a bipartisan delegation of Members of Congress to El Paso, Texas to visit our southern border and see firsthand what is happening to these children who have been separated from their parents when trying to enter the United States.

“So many people have reached out to my office and to me personally to express their sadness, shock and dismay about what has gone on recently. I want to see firsthand what is happening to these families and how these children are being cared for. I will do everything I can to make sure these families are reunited and that this never happens again in the United States,” said Congressman Suozzi.

As part of the visit, the delegation will meet with US Custom and Border Patrol and tour the Tornillo Detention Facility. Other Members of Congress traveling with Suozzi include Reps. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), Mike Coffman (R-CO), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Kathleen Rice (D-NY).
