Riverhead, NY - May 2, 2017 - On the seventh day of deliberations, a jury in Riverhead has acquitted ex-foster father Cesar Gonzales-Mugaburu of all charges in a 17-count indictment.
 
At approximately 11:30 this morning, the jury informed Judge Barbara Kahn that they came to a verdict.
 
The indictment alleged Mugaburu, 60, of Ridge, committed the crimes from 1996 to 2015; the nearly two-decade period the defendant operated a therapeutic foster home for children who had intellectual disabilities or psychiatric issues.
 
The trial began March 29. 
 
Deliberations started on Monday, April 24.
