Kings Park, NY - February 16, 2018 - Suffolk County Police on Thursday, February 15, 2018 arrested a Kings Park man for Criminal Impersonation in a hotel parking lot in Ronkonkoma at approximately 7:55 p.m.
 
Two plain clothes officers saw a man sitting in a silver 2014 Hyundai Tucson in the rear parking lot of the Clarion Hotel, located at 18-45 Veterans Memorial Hwy., when the officers noticed smoke and approached the vehicle to investigate. They smelled marijuana and noticed he was wearing a police badge. They interviewed the man, who admitted the badge was fake. The officers also found an expandable baton and a fake police chief placard in the vehicle in plain view.
 
Justin Conte, 43, of Kings Park, was arrested and brought to the precinct. Police discovered he had a valid pistol permit with three weapons. Officers went to safeguard the weapons at his house, where they found three illegal guns including two AR-15 rifles and a 38-caliber revolver. Numerous other types of police equipment were also found.
 
Following the investigation by the Fifth Squad, Conte was charged with Criminal Impersonation 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree.
 
Conte will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow at First District Court in Central Islip.
