The Electronics Squad Fraud and Forgery Unit reports the arrest of a Connecticut man for Grand Larceny that occurred between January, 2020 and July, 2024 in Nassau County.
 
According to Detectives, defendant, Jeffrey Fernandez, 34, of 7 Seir Hi Road, Norwalk, Connecticut, was working as an office manager for a Great Neck Plaza dentists office. An investigation revealed that the defendant did embezzle approximately $286,000.00 from the practice. The defendant changed the business routing account number from the dentist office to his own personal bank account. The defendant was arrested without incident on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6:00 am. 
 
Defendant Fernandez is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. He was arraigned on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
