Sid Jacobson JCC’s GAME ON for Autism is set to make its much-anticipated return to The Park at East Hills on Sunday, June 1, 2-5pm, offering up an exciting day of inclusive fun and impactful fundraising to benefit Camp Kehilla, the JCC’s dedicated summer camp for neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults ages 5-21.

This annual family-friendly flag football fundraiser invites children in grades K-8—and supporters of all ages—to unite in support of a cause that changes lives each summer.

Started by Roslyn High School senior Justin Wasserman, GAME ON for Autism has raised over $100,000 to transform the Camp Kehilla experience—from building a sensory playground to providing adaptive sports equipment. In 2025, the event aims to fund a brand-new adaptive sensory adventure course that will allow campers to explore, engage, and grow in a supportive environment.

“Camp Kehilla provides neurodivergent children the same summer camp experience their typical peers enjoy, and GAME ON has always been about making that possible,” stated Jocelyn Wasserman, Justin’s mom and a member of Sid Jacobson JCC’s Board of Directors. “This event brings the community together to enhance the camp’s programs and facilities, helping every participant feel seen, included, and celebrated."

GAME ON for Autism invites families to take part—whether they’re playing on the field or cheering from the sidelines. The day will have a live DJ, pizza, an ice cream truck, a silent auction, and a high-energy halftime inclusive dance party led by Kerboom Kidz, a children’s wellness platform promoting fitness and fun for all abilities.

For Justin, this chapter of GAME ON is particularly meaningful—it falls on his 18th birthday and marks his final time leading the festivities before heading off to college.

“It’s one of my favorite days,” Justin shared. “Seeing kids from all over Long Island play [sports] and support a cause that’s so close to my heart is something I’ll always carry with me. I’m excited to see my younger brother Jordan take the lead in the future—he’s already raised nearly $10,000 through his Bar Mitzvah project.”

Each summer, Camp Kehilla welcomes 180+ neurodivergent participants into a nurturing, therapeutic setting that offers structured support while preserving the feel of a traditional summer camp.

GAME ON for Autism is more than just an event—it’s a movement,” emphasized Amanda Foglietta, Director of Sid Jacobson JCC’s Sandler Family Kehilla Center. “The funds raised each year directly support our ability to provide an inclusive and enriching environment, including enhanced staff training, adaptive activities, and now, thanks to this year’s efforts, a new sensory adventure course our campers will love."

GAME ON for Autism promises a day of play with purpose—because every child deserves an opportunity to shine. Additional details and registration are available at sjjcc.org/gameon.
