Last week, Nassau County police released a photo of the man who came into a Hicksville spa requesting for massage services, but ended up making a sexual attack on a masseuse. Police have made an arrest on early Thursday.
James Catanzano, 53, of Glen Cove has been arrested in connection with the incident that occurred on Jan. 6 at Red Bell Spa in Hicksville.
Catanzano faces charges of sexual abuse in the first degree and will be arraigned today at First District Court in Hempstead.
According to police, Catanzano remained fully exposed when he was asked to lie on a table and cover himself with a blanket. He also grabbed the masseuse’s arm attempting to make her touch him in a sexual manner. A struggle broke out where the masseuse was cornered, and Catanzano touched her in an “inappropriate sexual manner.”
The spa was able to capture an image of Catanzano on video surveillance to assist in the investigation with Nassau County Crime Stoppers.
