AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 11 PM SATURDAY The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an air quality health advisory for the following counties: Suffolk and Nassau. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an air quality index value of 100 for ozone. The air quality index, or A Q I, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the A Q I value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with pre existing respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting a physician. The International Youth Fellowship Educational Foundation will be hosting the 2011 World Camp in New York from August 29 till September 2 at the Mahanaim campus located in Huntington Long Island, NY.

This event provides college aged youths the foundations for sound leadership by guiding young people to break free from their limitations and standards to experience possibilities that exist beyond their scope of understanding.

To achieve this goal, the IYF World Camp implements a dynamic offering of programs specifically designed to promote and enhance spiritual and mental growth, global awareness, and leadership. IYF WOrld Camp also places emphasis on education, performing arts, team building, and international affairs.
