Westbury High School, located in Westbury Long Island, will be one of the first High Schools in New York State to start Financial Literacy Education for their students. April is National Financial Literacy Education Month.

New York, April 15, 2011 - Westbury High School, located in Westbury Long Island, will be one of the first High Schools in New York State to start Financial Literacy Education for their students. Steiger as a community service, will be holding Seminars on April 15th at the High School for the 12th graders. Two sessions, one at 7:45:am and another at 12:30 are being held in the Little Auditorium to accommodate all the Westbury High School Senior Students.

Steiger is making this seminar available to all High Schools on Long Island at no cost.

National Financial Fitness www.nationalfinancialfitness.com has received attention and recognition from the state of New York. "New Yorkers need tools to help them manage and protect their money and hard-earned savings," New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli said. "The National Financial Fitness Program mirrors my call for more consumer awareness of financial information and reliable financial education resources. This program is in line with my Your Money New York initiative to provide programs and resources that help citizens meet their financial challenges."

Financial success is more important then ever and now is the time to educate High School Students at an early age. Financial success today involves more than a great education and earning a good living. It means learning savings & spending habits, how money works, how to invest, funding for college, managing cash flow, handling investments, learning about tax planning, and saving for a comfortable retirement

"We want high school students and their parents to take a proactive approach to their finances and gain a better understanding of the financial concepts " says Steiger.

Ronald Steiger, a registered representative and Investment Advisor Representative for Woodbury Financial Services, has launched the innovative National Financial Fitness program to help promote financial literacy education and awareness during Financial Literacy Month, celebrated every April.
