Islip Town Hall was evacuated today after an anonymous caller made a bomb threat, claiming that a bomb was going to go off in the building sometime today, as well as in a second government building. Suffolk County Police Department evacuated the building around 10 AM, and proceeded to have emergency services check the building for threat – none which was found. The anonymous call came from a payphone in a restaurant, and there is no word on whether or not the police have obtained the identity of the caller, or if there is a suspect in custody. This is the second time in less than three months that a bomb threat has been made to Islip Town Hall by an anonymous caller.
