Family Adventures: Deer Detectives
Bring the whole family down to the Connetquot River State Park Preserve in Great River this Sunday, January 12th to become a detective! The "detectives" will be exploring the ways of the white-tailed deer and putting their knowledge to the test outdoors searching for clues the deer have left behind. 38th Annual Doll, Teddy Bear & Collectible Toy Show & Sale
The Patchogue Doll Fanciers Club of Long Island is sponsoring a Doll, Teddy Bear & Collectible Toy Show & Sale this Sunday, January 12th from 10AM-4 PM. Don't miss out on this 38th annual show and sale held at the UPSKY Long Island Hotel. The show will feature a doll competition open to the public including antiques, modern and children's categories. Saltwater Stories: Catch the Spirit
Explore the maritime culture of Long Island together as a family, this weekend January 11th & 12th at the Long Island Children's Museum. Learn about history, cuisine, dishing, ecology, arts and crafts while meeting with folk artists that will educate you on the traditional ways of life. The artists will be discussing how it has helped shape the economic and cultural development of Long Island and the animals that are living in its waterways. Field Trip to Capri Lake & Captree State Park
Enjoy a fun-filled day on a field trip to Capri Lake & Captree State Park this Sunday, January 12th with the Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society.
