The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled. * Locations...Putnam...Fairfield and Nassau counties. * Hazard types...accumulating snow. * Accumulations...total snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. * Winds...north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * Temperatures...25-30. * Visibilities...one quarter to one half mile at times. * Timing...snow continues this afternoon...tapering off late this afternoon. * Impacts...hazardous travel conditions due to snow covered roads. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Father's Day is not too far away and it is not too late to prepare for your dad's big day. Father's Day was developed to celebrate new fathers, old fathers, and fathers who are no longer with us.

There are many ways people choose to celebrate. Many children will buy their father's wonderful gifts, take them out for dinner, or make something.
