The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a coastal Flood Advisory...which is in effect from 9 am to 1 PM EST Tuesday. * Locations...coastal locations along Long Island Sound. * Tidal departures...2 to 2 1/2 feet above astronomical tides tonight and Tuesday morning. * Timing...minor coastal flooding is expected for tonight and Tuesday mornings high tide cycles. Additional minor coastal flooding is possible for Tuesday night and Wednesday mornings high tide cycles. * Coastal flood impacts...minor flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads and/or properties due to height of storm tide or wave splashover. Majority of roads remain passable with only isolated closures. Any impact on property is minimal. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Maloit 602 PM EST Mon Feb 8 2016 Light snow will continue into this evening with additional minor accumulations of 1 to 3 tenths of an inch possible. There is a chance of light snow late this evening..into late tonight with little additional accumulations.
