Cops Attacked by Unhinged, Shower Rod-Wielding Uniondale Woman After Responding to Call of Suspect Screaming, Exposing Herself

The First Squad reports the details of an arrest of a Uniondale female for the Assault of an Officer that occurred on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 3:05 AM in Uniondale.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a residence on Park Place for a reported disturbance. Upon Police arrival, Officers located defendant Lourdje Elien, 25 of 840 Park Place who was exposing herself and screaming. 
 
As Officers attempted to place her into custody, defendant Lourdje Elien took a shower rod and attempted to use it against the Officers. Three Officers sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest.
 
Officers located three children inside of the household who appeared to be lethargic and upset. Defendant Lourdje Elien was transported to a local hospital along with the three injured Officers and the three children by Nassau County Police Ambulances for assessment and treatment. 
 
Defendant Lourdje Elien is charged with three counts of Assault 2nd degree, three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Public Lewdness and Resisting Arrest. She will be arraigned when medically practical.
