74-Year-Old Woman Robbed of Pricey Necklace During Westbury Street Scam, Cops Say

The Third Squad is investigating a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in Westbury.
 
According to Detectives, a 74-year old female was walking on Salisbury Park Drive near the intersection of Port Lane when a light colored sedan occupied by a driver and two passengers pulled up next to her. Two passengers exited the vehicle, approached the victim and placed plastic necklaces around her neck. The two subjects then reentered the vehicle and left the scene westbound on Salisbury Park Drive. The victim then realized her own necklace that she was wearing, valued at $5,000 US currency was taken by the subjects. Investigation is ongoing.
 
The driver is described as a heavy set, Middle Eastern male, 30-40 years of age. The passengers are described as a Middle Eastern female, 30-40 years of age, and a Middle Eastern female approximately 20 years of age. No further description is available at this time.
