Melville, NY - December 21, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Melville on Thursday, December 20.
 
An unidentified white female was struck by two vehicles as she was crossing Walt Whitman Road from west to east at Livingston Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. The victim apparently crossed while vehicles were proceeding through a green light northbound in the left lane of Walt Whitman Road at the intersection. She was struck by a 2016 BMW driven by Sharlene Jamison, then by a 2009 Nissan being driven by Frank Liontos. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
 
Jamison, 47, of Middle Island and Liontos, 22, of Dix Hills were not injured.
