Suffolk Police Team Up with Target For Heroes and Helpers Program

Suffolk County, NY - December 14, 2015 - The Suffolk County Police Department is partnering with Target to give underprivileged children who reside in Suffolk County a holiday shopping experience. 

Children in the First, Fourth and Fifth Precincts will participate in Target’s nationwide program known as Heroes and Helpers during which the children will each receive a $50 gift card that they can spend at Target. During the event, the children can choose to spend the gift cards on anything in the store.  Target will supply snacks during the event.

Police officers from the First, Fourth and Fifth Precincts and the Suffolk County Police Explorers program, a public service group for young adults, will assist the children during their shopping trip.
