The Third Squad reports the arrest of a male juvenile for an Assault that occurred on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 2:35 PM in New Cassel.
According to Detectives, Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 call for a fight involving fifteen to twenty youths. Upon arrival, the crowd had disbursed and officers located a male victim, 13. He had gotten into an argument with the 15-year-old male defendant that escalated when the defendant brandished a knife and stabbed the victim in the right arm and left
hand causing a laceration. Subsequent to the investigation, the male juvenile defendant was located at the hospital with a laceration to his finger and was placed under arrest without incident.
The juvenile defendant is charged with Assault 2 nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th Degree. He was be arraigned on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Family Court, 1200 Old Country Road, Westbury.
